GB v USA – Once in a Life Time
First off the event started on a slightly negative note. It was made aware through email from the arena and notices around the place itself, that cameras of any kind would not be allowed in the arena, only phones with cameras were allowed. This was disappointing as it would be great to take some photos using my digital camera, unfortunately low quality photos from my phone will have to suffice.
This was the view from my seats. The seats were on the upper tier in the arena. It was a great view and the arena itself is huge. As you can see there were screens hanging from the ceiling showing the scoreboard, the TV camera view of the game, and replays.
First out on the court to warm up was Kevin Durant.
Later joined by players including CP3, Anthony Davis, Andre Iguodala, Kevin Love, and Deron Williams. We didn’t see Melo, LeBron, and Kobe until before tip-off, but they don’t exactly need to practice.
Then some time later the players were announced running out for their warm-ups. Here all the players came out, including Kobe.
Then at half-time Labrinth performed. Several famous people were shown on the big screen that were attending the game, including Dream Team 1992 Hall of Famer Chris Mullin, several ManU and City players, and Alexandra Burke.
